B’nai B’rith International has opened a Disaster and Emergency Relief Fund to support victims of Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene, which have both caused widespread devastation along the Florida Gulf Coast.

Hurricane Milton made landfall along the Gulf Coast as a Category 3 storm along with a record number of accompanying tornadoes that have led to extensive flooding and damage, leaving more than 3 million without power. Millions of residents on Florida’s West Coast were ordered to evacuate their homes earlier this week and at least four fatalities have been reported as a result of the severe weather.

Now struck with a second hurricane, Florida’s Gulf Coast and the southeastern United States are still recovering less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene caused destruction across six states and caused more than 200 deaths through the region.

B’nai B’rith International’s longstanding legacy of reaching out to people and communities in distress began in 1865, when the organization raised money during a cholera epidemic in pre-state Israel. Since then, B’nai B’rith has helped countless people affected by natural and man-made disasters worldwide. Recent donations to our Disaster and Emergency Relief Fund have been used to help victims of Japan’s Noto earthquake.

To assist the victims of these catastrophic back-to-back hurricanes, donate to our Disaster and Emergency Relief Fund here.

Contributions can also be made by calling 800-573-9057 and using a credit card. Or, you can send a check payable to the B’nai B’rith Disaster and Emergency Relief Fund to:
